Here's a one-off oddity for you:  a "progressive jazz-rock" album credited to Herbie Mann's arranger, which also features some heavy hitting musicians like Ron Carter, Billy Cobham and Hugh McCracken.  Soul pop tunes bump up against heavy guitar workouts, jazz interludes, a 5-cello string section and a moog freakout!  They don't make records like this anymore!
I doubt the group on this record ever performed live, but here's an audio-only clip of "Saigon" from the album.  Another peculiar one-off producer-driven soul-rock-jazz oddity that also came out in 1970 was known as The Grodeck Whipperjenny (already a CAOTW).  Here's a clip of Fischer's primary collaborator Herbie Mann (with Sonny Sharrock on guitar) and finally the original eclectic soulman from space, Sun Ra.
