of the true landmarks of 20th century music, some feel that this is one
of the greatest statements in the entire history of rock'n'roll --
while others find it to be "unlistenable noise." This synthesis of free
jazz and delta blues with dadaist tomfoolery (abetted by producer Frank
Zappa) certainly bears little relation to anything else that was going
on in popular music at the time.
